(Black) Friday Frames // The best gift

Happy Black Friday! Only 28 shopping days till Christmas! Obviously Christmas is so much more than that but if your like me, I ADORE the season of giving. I actually told a family member once who wanted to do the "no gifts" Christmas "I can do without receiving gifts but I can't do without giving them".  Honestly, I LOVE to find the perfect gift, something meaningful, even small. One of my favorite gifts to give is photos.  A lasting gift forever.

Did you know we are the most photographed generation ever but we have no photos to show for it? All of our photos are on computers or smart phones. Bad! We need to print photos!  Frame them or put into albums, even put in a shoebox and go through them in 10 years and laugh at your hairstyles, your moms glasses or dads mustache (something my sister and I do annually) Whatever you do, print your photos!

Here's my 5 year old holding one of my favorite photos, me (HUGELY) pregnant with my first baby. Such a beautiful moment. I look at it everyday. He thinks it's weird that's him in there, I always say "thats me and you bud".

Above picture is my boys holding our wedding photo, they think it's so funny mom and dad got married.

Every Black Friday I shop online, there are good deals out there! I have already saved well over $200! Since I'm a BIG believer in savings (and online shopping) I always have an annual print sale in my Instaproofs gallery.  If you haven't made prints of your wedding photos g today and save 15% off of $50 or 20% off $100 (todays the last day!) or print off some for gifts! Everyone will love to open a gift and see your smiling faces. It's a no brainer.

Also running a sessions and Gift Certificate special!  I am only taking VERY limited sessions next year, this would be a for sure way you get one!  Fill out this form and I will return your email with the details and specials!!!!

Don't say I didn't warn you!! my family sessions will probably be down to the once a year mini's!

Happy Shopping!

Knadles Christmas Tree Hunting

Winter is here! Like it or not. Although I was not entirely ready for it to be here for "real" and stay put, It's starting to wear on me, I mean just look at this session! The Knadles, amazing people, the kind of people who I instantly felt like we were friends. I shot their wedding, maternity session, family sessions.  There is nothing better for me than to have return wedding couples continue to have me document their lives.  It's the type of relationship I want to built with all my weddings clients.  I am shooting less and less sessions these days which is why past wedding clients get first dibs on Mini sessions and extra special treatment like me always finding time for their sessions.  This year the Knadles decided on a winter family session and of course, it's adorable so I wanted to share it with all of you. I kept out a few special ones so I didn't ruin their Christmas Cards  though!  Enjoy this fun session, I hope it gets you in the Holiday Spirit!

If your interested in a session with me or a Gift Certificate, be sure to check at the bottom of this page for session information!

Inquire about Winter Lifestyle Sessions, At Home Sessions or a Gift Certificate by filling out this form below! I will contact you with details AND a special Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal!

Friday Frames // Thankful

Friday Frames // Thankful

The days are shorter, my to do list is fleeting,  my bedtime is the same as my grandparents,  my calendar is naked, I'm wondering what to do with myself on weekends, I'm meal planning like a boss. I've had friend dates and watched the Packers kick butt, my husband has a Grizzly Adams man beard of epic proportions, I taught my 5 year old how to start the car in the morning because it's nearly freezing.  Family is coming home soon. Oh yes, it must be Thanksgiving Time.

On our travels from Green Bay we passed a teeny country church that had a sign  "Thank God for what you have, Pray for what you need, Work for what you want".  I've never heard truer words.  It's something to live by actually.  I took on a new philosophy in life about 10 years ago now actually.  I found happiness and positivity in my life. I try to feed it with more happiness and positivity at every turn. I could list a bazillion things here that I am thankful for, all of you reading this, all my weddings, all my sessions, hummus, toothpaste, you get it, I will spare you the long-winded scroll of my life blessings and share what I'm most thankful for.

I wake up every single morning, look around my terribly messy, well-lived in home, I walk carefully around the invisible toy mines and laundry hills and Thank God for that mess. I'm so Thankful for it's perfectly imperfectness,  I'm so thankful for piles of dishes and laundry and boots strewn all over the place because it means my home is filled with little, full of life people and one big guy who I love dearly and who I  get to see, hear and feel everyday.  For that I am most Thankful for.

Happiest of Thanksgivings to you and yours next week. May you spend it somewhere warm and surrounded by people you love.

XO,
Dani
