Michael + Lindsey's Flannel and Canoe Engagement Session // Tomah WI

So Lindsey says "I have some nice land we can shoot at" and I being Lindsey's friend and wedding advisor say "sure you do" and assume she has no idea what she is talking about. Then I give in like a good friend does and when I show up I am floored! I want to build a teeny house on Lindsey's Land and go off the grid from now on. LOL  It was a the PERFECT brackdrop for their engagement session.  Better yet,  Lindsey is moving in 2 DAYS and what a great place to mark a memory from  this time of their life.  Lindsey always talks about going canoeing and I imagined this little puddle and it was this amazing private pond. We had so much fun dodging mosquitos and getting Michael to laugh and play along.  Nothing says September like Flannels, a Canoe and golden sun.  I can't wait for this July Wedding next year. I know these two are going to shine.  Until then, I will be missing my friend Lindsey in town everyday, making me laugh with her sarcasm and inside jokes.  Let's celebrate these two out chasing their dreams with a little blog preview of our session together, feel free to leave a little love for them!  Enjoy! 

Alex + Meghan's Fairytale Barn Wedding // The Enchanted Barn Hillsdale, WI

Ah,  This wedding. This couple. It was a dream come true.  Meghan has such amazing taste and I knew she would bring in amazing pieces to compliment their special day, Meaningful decor and florals that knocked my socks off.   Alex is Meghan's perfect fit.  These two are these amazing old souls, their love of music only made me adore them more.  GOOD Music. Old Music.  Rolling Stones, America, Led Zepplin, etc.. The classics. Way older than these two which only makes them that much cooler.  I happen to be a HUGE music lover myself so I completely connected with this couple and understand the meaning behind their song choices,  the lyrics on that amazing backdrop they made, the momentos that filled the day.  Meghan is so beautiful, her veil + dress were from a fairytale for her prince charming at a barn in the middle of nowhere. The perfect intimate setting for such a moment in time.  We had a gloomy overcast day which I think only aided in making these nuptials even more romantic.  Enjoy the preview!

Adam and Meghan's Charming Barn Wedding // Bridle Barn and Gardens, Mt Horeb, WI

Meghan and Adam have been an amazing couple to work with, first with inviting me to Washington DC for an engagement session, then renting a car to pick me up out of state at midnight, taking my husband and I out on the town. We've really grown to know this couple and seeing their wedding come to life showed it's genuinity.  I really enjoyed the Wisconsin Meets California touches and the backdrop of Bridle Barn and Gardens, Meg's BHLDN gown and Adams Navy suit. The lights in the trees, Adele playing in the background, strong meaningful words at the ceremony, funny and heartfelt toasts, a little  couple dance off back to the barn after dusk photos and a blast from the past surprise song from the brides dad. Real, True, Genuine People. I'm glad to say their wedding matched them perfectly.  Despite some changing weather, it was an absolute perfect day.  I couldn't be more honored to be a small part of it.
