Ok so no one hopes for rain on their wedding day, but like all things in life, you can't control it but you can control how you handle it. Meghann and Ben absolutely handled it. They are an outdoorsy-world travelling kind of couple and had hopes for an outdoor wedding at the beautiful Justin Trails Resort but by mother nature's choice, we had to make some adjustments and really just "Go with it". As a photographer this changes my game too but this couple and their wedding party and family completed braved the weather and rocked it. I think this rainy day couldn't have turned out more dreamy and romantic if it tried. We didn't let the rain stop us from exploring the grounds and doing outdoor photos, if you look closely you will see the rain, but if you look closer you will see the love and joy! BIG congrats to these two and high fives for not letting it rain on their parade so to speak.
The blog is alive! And opening with a very special wedding. I feel so fortunate to have met Marissa and her amazing sister Marah through a Wisconsin Bride event a while back. I've worked with them on a wedding years ago (Hi Rachel) and have been a HUGE fan of Marah's Elegant Bridal ever since. Marissa and I started chatting shortly after and I couldn't be more honored she chose me to photograph this spectacular day! These two. They have been together nine and a half years and are the most perfect couple together. This day was meant to be. This wedding was put together so perfectly, so Marissa and Kane. Laid back, Lakeside, beautiful weather, boats passing by, surrounded by friends and family and awesome music and great energy. Everything was intentional and genuine right down to the attire, the song choices and most importantly their own written vows. These amazingly REAL people made it SO much fun. REAL people. REAL love. I couldn't have a better wedding to open the 2017 wedding season! Here's a preview of The Hoffman's wedding day, in no particular order. Enjoy! and leave the couple some comment love! Also- Please see the amazing vendors Marissa and Kane worked with at the bottom of this post.

I have had the honor of photography all 3 Connor Sisters weddings over the past 8 years. Each wedding unique in its own way. Jes told me years ago, she was having a destination wedding and she didn't disappoint! Jes wanted a simple, laid back beach wedding on the sand, her whole vision was clean and simple, and it all came together so beautifully!!!
My whole family joined me at The beautiful Barcelo Bavaro Palace for an extended weekend of tropical fun. The Connor's family invited us to join in all the fun festivities and treated us like part of the family. I can't believe how hospitable and amazing my clients are! Look at this beautiful place! This classic white wedding on the beach, Jes's amazing open back dress and those palm trees. Take me back!
