I met Clare and Brett over the holidays this past winter at my favorite coffee shop The Root Note, They were home from Washington DC for the holidays and I was SUPER glad to be able to meet with them. Because, let's face it- they are adorable, but beyond that they are smart and cultured and fun, genuine people. From the minute I laid eyes on them I was dying to get them in front of the camera, can you imagine what a beautiful bride and groom they will be? I can't wait for their Lacrosse, WI wedding next June! Here's a little preview of your time together on a super hot and buggy June day in Lacrosse, which ended up being super fun and not too terribly hot!
Meeting Sarah and Tim in San Francisco was such a perfect way to get to know this couple before the wedding day, Seeing their vision come to life complete with their favorite California spots on the reception tables made me completely connected to this gorgeous wedding at The Pritzlaff. The day called for rain but the moment this couple said I Do and walked out the church doors, was the moment the sun came out to stay. It was an absolutely gorgeous day for this stunning bride and groom. I loved Sarah's colors that blended perfectly with the Milwaukee in Spring backdrop. We made a few stops at some of the couples meaningful points like Marquette University which these two and a number of their wedding party are alums. Meeting in college in Milwaukee but not falling in love until they both wound up in California was such a sweet story, so thankful to be a part of this day. See list of fabulous vendors that made this day complete on the bottom of this post- Enjoy!

Ok so no one hopes for rain on their wedding day, but like all things in life, you can't control it but you can control how you handle it. Meghann and Ben absolutely handled it. They are an outdoorsy-world travelling kind of couple and had hopes for an outdoor wedding at the beautiful Justin Trails Resort but by mother nature's choice, we had to make some adjustments and really just "Go with it". As a photographer this changes my game too but this couple and their wedding party and family completed braved the weather and rocked it. I think this rainy day couldn't have turned out more dreamy and romantic if it tried. We didn't let the rain stop us from exploring the grounds and doing outdoor photos, if you look closely you will see the rain, but if you look closer you will see the love and joy! BIG congrats to these two and high fives for not letting it rain on their parade so to speak.
