Friday Frames // Dear October....

Dear October,

You are my nemesis. You and your sweater and scarf temperatures (Ugh! you know I love sweaters and scarfs!), football games and those gorgeous color changing trees. Pumpkin patches, apple cider and wagon rides. You and your perfect sunsets and promises of a few more warm days. You are my busiest, pull-my-hair-out, sleep deprived month. Yet, your my gateway month to the long dormant, lazy winter full of holidays, Netlfix watching, couch snuggling, date nights, dinner with friends, and sleeping in on weekends. I don't know whether I love you or hate you. Whether I am excited for you to come or for you to end. You, October. How dare you.

Love/Hate,
Dani

Erica + Steven Country Engagement Session

Happy October Friends! Erica + Steven met me in the country for a little engagement session, the minute I seen them I knew they are adorable and fun and easy to hang with, with their Brewers plates and cool shades. They were up for anything including being nearly eaten alive to the point of torture by bugs and letting me drive them around on a ranger (that has potential danger written all over it) but the session was fun and turned out perfectly.  In almost 5 years I haven't has as much as an inquiry for Lacrosse wedding and now I have three in 2015! Excited for all of them and to have a little less travel. Enjoy!

All photos taken on at my in-laws property, they grow organic produce for the local farmers market and hops for a coop of local beer makers, also have pigs, goats, lots of dogs, bunnies, chickens, and  rumor has it, a pony coming soon.

Dan + Courtney's Homegrown Family Farm Wedding

I think I have said this a thousand times.  For me it's about the couple.  Dan & Courtney are this funny, kind, spandex wearing, yoga practicing, world traveling foodies who are completely comfortable being their silly, wonderful, genuine selves.  Their wedding was filled with family and friends who guided us through a journey during their ceremony which consisted of short stories of their past and present. Cocktail hour with wine and Wisco Pop and homemade goodness made by Dan & Courtney, lawn games, hoola hooping and rather than a first dance, the couple took each other on in badminton ( it was a tie).  The gorgeous backdrop of this amazing day was breathtaking. Don't even get me started with the incredible food catered by The Rooted Spoon and Contra dancing.  At a meeting, Dan shared his original wedding vision with me which was this hilarious story including a panther the actual day panned out a bit differently but In their Thank You speech the couple graciously thanked everyone involved (including vendors) and said, "Today is more than we could have wanted or asked for" and I believe that to be true. It was perfect.
