Lucy + Adam's Winter Morning Engagement Session

I am SO excited to work with these two. They came home from New York for the holidays and I met them a few days before Christmas (you know when the world still made sense) and we walked out into the backyard and so incredibly effortless this session took place.

Lucy and Adam both agreed it’s what the couple GIVES as much as the photographer has to give to make a good session. Let me see and feel your love and energy. Lucy and Adam did that and more. This session was somehow sweet and intimate but also funny and silly and their were quiet moments and moments of extreme laughter and terror when they couldn’t stop sliding down the hill….which later ended up as more laughter.

It was my last session before the holidays and it was the most perfect weather and it felt amazing to get outside and to work with these two and I had Christmas to look forward to in just days….It was a real highlight day for me.

I am so excited for this July wedding! I hope for Lucy and Adam and all of my couples and humanity as a whole that life will be fully back to making sense in July and we can all be together again and celebrate life’s most precious moments.

The Covenant At Murray Mansion Wedding // Joe and Nicole's Beautiful Day // Racine, WI

I started putting this blog together as “I’ll just put a small preview out” and it turned into a two page list of photos! I’m so happy I did this because to relive this gorgeous wedding just makes me so excited for another wedding season in a few months and all my continued inquiries by amazing people.

Besides being amazing people and gorgeous! Joe and Nicole have this quiet kind of love that is beautiful. They can talk to each other without words, I have seen it. They have so many friends! so many and they are amazing and it just shows who Joe and Nicole are. I personally think a couple with a large group of mutual friends says so much. They have beautiful heartwarming families. They have FUN. So much fun, the bus ride to and from the church was a blast and I wanted to crack a beer open and hang with them!

The Venue. I mean. This place was a KNOCK OUT. All the guests were floored as they walked in, there were so many little areas for getting ready and sleeping and cocktail hour and first look and dinner….It was just a really special and unique place! I cannot wait to return! The staff was phenomenal too.

This wedding was so perfect, the light rain, the gorgeous couple, the venue, the vows, the fun, the laughter. It was incredible to witness the marriage of this sweet couple. Also want to shout out to my second shooter Savannah Steiger for riding along, shooting essential shots, being a fun partner for the day and for hanging in there for a long round trip car ride, getting lost and later in the night when she forgot her keys in my car and I didn’t answer my phone. #Facepalm Some of the lovely photos below belong to her!

Brooks + Olivia's Classic White Wedding at Oak Hill // Oak Hill Weddings// Illinois

THIS. WEDDING. Ok so when Olivia contacted me I nearly jumped for joy but I had to admit to her, I had a wedding the following day in….Minnesota. With Olivia’s wedding in Illinois, surely I am crazy to think I can do this and still sleep. But I couldn’t turn this wedding down and now that it is edited and delivered and I finally got to blog it to share it with all of you, I think you will see why it was ENTIRELY worth it. This wedding is one of those if I could have a “Do over” wedding it would look something like this. The crisp, clean whites, the warm backdrop, the little chapel, the location with room to roam about, donkeys?! A barn, a tent, an amazing getting ready location, Oak Hill Weddings has it figured out. And Olivia, a talented photographer herself definitely knew what she was doing. I also I want to point out that Olivia chose a 6 hour package and as you can see with the right timeline, every key moment was covered. She is so resourceful, she knew what would work! So if you think you can’t afford a certain photographer, maybe your just looking at the wrong package?

I am going to stop talking so you can enjoy your scroll of this amazing wedding! Check the bottom for vendors that made it happen!
