Corey and Leah's Perfect Fall Wedding Day // Minneapolis, MN

Ok so I am going way way out of order here, but my blog is so far behind anyway. I feel lucky that I had a moment to put this together. I feel even luckier this the beginning of my off season, so I will be able to share and highlight more weddings from 2020!

So, I know this is not a popular opinion, but fall photos are not my favorite. In fact, I usually dread them. Obviously fall is beautiful, but I think that perfect fall day is actually a unicorn. How many actual days out of October are amazing? Very few. The idea of October is amazing, but the reality is it is usually cold, dark, dreary and even raining/ windy. But I was SO excited to hear from this couple, I didn’t really care when their wedding was scheduled. Leah is the sister to a past bride of mine, Sarah and I really connected with this family, 3 sisters, all amazing and beautiful and sweet. I wanted to be a part of this day! and then, I arrived and it happened. The Unicorn fall day. Absolutely Gorgeous! Amazing location, couple, guests, ceremony, light, vibe, day. Terribly sorry to the universe for not sharing this sooner. It’s a real gem of a wedding and I really enjoyed going through the gallery and reliving every moment! Be sure to check out the vendors at the end!

Noah + Aila's Sweet Milwaukee Wedding

Talk about a deserving couple! Aila and Noah have switched their date and venue multiple times due to COVID, constant change and uncertainty has made weddings so difficult this year. But Aila and Noah focused on the marriage and chose a new date and venue that worked. We had the most beautiful and location for photos. Aila was beaming! Just when things couldn’t get any better, 2020 leered it’s evil head and reminded us by springing a thunderstorm right before the rooftop ceremony. The staff at Milwaukee Brewing Company are A++ and flipped their taproom into an incredible plan b ceremony space. I completley look up to these kids which I am sure I am a decade older than. Their original vision was flipped upside down which started out as a barn wedding and turned into a downtown MKE Sunday wedding w/ 29 people. Changing vision, dates, venues and cutting your list of loved ones down that far is painful no doubt. But if this pandemic has taught us all something it’s nothing is certain and we have to be resilient. Some couples postponed, and some couples like Noah and Aila rocked their day with what they were given and surrounded themselves with 29 beautiful people. I am SO happy for them. I am SO happy for all my couples whether they postponed or made the best of their day. Cheers to all of you and your story! Check out the vendor list below!

Matt & Jorja's Boho Downtown Milwaukee Micro Wedding

BOHO. DOWNTOWN. MILWAUKEE. MICRO.WEDDING.

Who doesn’t love at least one of those words, and Jorja and Matt but them all together in one intimate sweet affair.

The dress, the setting, the food, the group made this micro wedding feel like it was so full of life. I 100 % felt like I was at a large wedding because the laughter and the smiles and the toasts and the clinking of glasses and iphone selfies and stories and dresses and appetizers and bar and food was all still there, but most importantly there was the I do’s and at the end of the day, this couple was married. It did look different from their original vision. I think every 2020 couples does. But it doesn’t have to be a bummer. It might be just what you needed.
