Ted & Melissa's Good Time Third Ward Wedding// Milwaukee, WI

Ya’ll ready for this? (insert 2 unlimited voice)
This wedding was not only super gorgeous but it was FUN from the minute I walked in to the moment I left. Ted is like “good time Ted” he will make sure everyone around him has a Miller Lite in hand and a big smile on his face. His nervous energy came out in dance, and it was ALL DAY LONG. Melissa, so intoxicating! Fun, gorgeous, confident, and ready for action. These two are the meaning of the word “power couple”. But it wasn’t all just fun, the loss of a very important guest was heavy in the air. Beautiful tributes filled the day from a photo on the bouquet to a song during the ceremony, to toasts and speeches and first dance. A testament to the couple’s perseverance and strength. 2020 has brought some major curveballs, but I feel like every couple I encountered showed who they are inside with grace and joy. How beautiful will these marriages be?

This wedding was so well thought out which I really appreciate and love, down to the parking….parking on the third ward?! Yes. That is how thoughtful this wedding was. We started at the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel, gorgeous for getting ready and rooftop first look. Then strolled around town looking for some space to get wedding party photos. Then onto a sweet downtown venue The Black Swan, Plant 4, Their party was fun, the dresses (Jumpsuit!!) was fun, the shades, the suits, all of it. I had an excellent second shooter Kelsey, with who was a master of editorial shots, which makes for an amazing gallery for the couple! You will see some of her shots below. Also below is a list of the killer vendors who made this day happen. Be sure to scroll down and follow them!

Corey and Leah's Perfect Fall Wedding Day // Minneapolis, MN

Ok so I am going way way out of order here, but my blog is so far behind anyway. I feel lucky that I had a moment to put this together. I feel even luckier this the beginning of my off season, so I will be able to share and highlight more weddings from 2020!

So, I know this is not a popular opinion, but fall photos are not my favorite. In fact, I usually dread them. Obviously fall is beautiful, but I think that perfect fall day is actually a unicorn. How many actual days out of October are amazing? Very few. The idea of October is amazing, but the reality is it is usually cold, dark, dreary and even raining/ windy. But I was SO excited to hear from this couple, I didn’t really care when their wedding was scheduled. Leah is the sister to a past bride of mine, Sarah and I really connected with this family, 3 sisters, all amazing and beautiful and sweet. I wanted to be a part of this day! and then, I arrived and it happened. The Unicorn fall day. Absolutely Gorgeous! Amazing location, couple, guests, ceremony, light, vibe, day. Terribly sorry to the universe for not sharing this sooner. It’s a real gem of a wedding and I really enjoyed going through the gallery and reliving every moment! Be sure to check out the vendors at the end!

Noah + Aila's Sweet Milwaukee Wedding

Talk about a deserving couple! Aila and Noah have switched their date and venue multiple times due to COVID, constant change and uncertainty has made weddings so difficult this year. But Aila and Noah focused on the marriage and chose a new date and venue that worked. We had the most beautiful and location for photos. Aila was beaming! Just when things couldn’t get any better, 2020 leered it’s evil head and reminded us by springing a thunderstorm right before the rooftop ceremony. The staff at Milwaukee Brewing Company are A++ and flipped their taproom into an incredible plan b ceremony space. I completley look up to these kids which I am sure I am a decade older than. Their original vision was flipped upside down which started out as a barn wedding and turned into a downtown MKE Sunday wedding w/ 29 people. Changing vision, dates, venues and cutting your list of loved ones down that far is painful no doubt. But if this pandemic has taught us all something it’s nothing is certain and we have to be resilient. Some couples postponed, and some couples like Noah and Aila rocked their day with what they were given and surrounded themselves with 29 beautiful people. I am SO happy for them. I am SO happy for all my couples whether they postponed or made the best of their day. Cheers to all of you and your story! Check out the vendor list below!
