Megan and Cam's Laid Back Boho Wedding // The Enchanted Barn// Hillsdale, WI

The Cliche’ “Back where it all began” comes to mind, my weddings really took off after shooting at The Enchanted Barn in 2010- The barn wedding craze started and grew legs, My first wedding here was back when they had port-a-potties! Can you believe that?!? It’s also where my personal style bloomed, the rustic barn wedding really inspired me and I took off from here. I found my center. I still LOVE a barn wedding. I just had the MOST fun, looking through this wedding and picking out photos for the blog. Literally smiling the whole time, Megan and Cam had such a fun wedding vibe and it matched them so perfectly. Garden party style wood fired pizzas? No table settings, no table numbers, no escort cards, no set dinner time, Just get married and literally hang out, the pizzas were made, eat when you want, sit where you want, mingle how you want. Endless areas to roam. I would do this myself if I were to do it over again honestly. It was SO relaxing and still beautiful. You can have it both ways. I love this boho style, blues and browns, the mismatched bridesmaids and those incredible florals! Looking back now this is hands down one of the most fun and beautiful weddings ever!!! Adam + Aimee's Joyful Wedding // The Lageret // Stoughton

So I love a beautiful wedding and I love details and decor, its so fun to photograph, I feel like I walk into a well designed wedding and I feel a burst of inspiration like crazy, and it’s an amazing feeling. But even that cannot top a wildly happy couple. Photographing a couple who is present and so freakin’ happy and in love and when nothing in the world could have dimmed the smile on their faces. There is NO better photography high. I got caught up with them in this day. Aimee twirled her way through the day, with an ear to ear smile. Adam was in awe of her every movement. I felt like the world didn’t exist outside the The Lageret on this day. How many days do we get like that? Looking back on this day I just feel this positive vibe all over again, I love my couples! and they breathe a higher level of hope and happiness into my life everyday. Michelle & Bryce's Summer Wedding // Sugarland Barn// Arena, WI

When I start blogging in my off season, I get to take some time and sit with each wedding I shot the preview season and kind of relive it. That was especially fun with The Carmichael’s. Sugarland Barn is hands down one of my very favorite Wisconsin venues, for a million reasons, but the big ones are, 1. All inclusive venue- I love a wedding start to finish in one place, think of how the flow and logistics are simplified without a bunch of travel. 2. Spaces, this venue is tucked into the end of a country road, plantation on on side of the road, barn on the other, endless areas to roam, 3. The barn! That big grand barn! I mean any wedding can take place here, from black tie to boho to anything in between.

Working with Michelle and Bryce was so rewarding, they were very sweet to me all day and made my job super easy by just looking at each other and being madly in love and not needing any direction except lets “walk over here”. They have some cool friends and family who love to dance and have fun and I felt like I would fit RIGHT in with this crowd!

Start to finish this wedding was meaningful, sweet, genuine, fun and just very real and I loved it. Be sure to check out the vendors below and give this couple some comment love!
