Michael and Lindsey's Classic Waterfront Wedding // The Cargill Room Waterfront// LaCrosse, WI

Lindsey and I met a while back, long before she got engaged but the moment I met her I knew I wanted to ( or would even) photograph her.  Over the years we talked so much weddings,  she knew all the behind the scenes kind of stuff,  She knew about lighting and how one photographer's work looks different than another.  Once engaged we looked through photographers,  We talked about her wedding type and her vision and she ended up choosing me, after all of that.  Then we started chatting about her own wedding, and Lindsey did things a little differently than other brides which was actually kind of fun.  She never made one choice she didn't take a long time and well thought out. She didn't make purchases that weren't meaningful or usable, she didn't even choose bridesmaids dresses until 4 months prior to the wedding. She took her time and she made sensible choices and at the end  her vision came to life and her inspiration bloomed and all of a sudden she knew what she wanted and how to get it!  It all came together in one perfect classical day. I was so honored and excited to be there and see this day unfold and be able to see her be a bride, more breathtaking than I could've imagined.  From the blush dresses to her showstopping gown, to the gold and green accents at the reception and the black tuxes and her own calligraphy work,  Lindsey and Michael created the perfect wedding day. I'm pretty sad to see this wedding collection go out the door, that means our wedding planning chapter together has come to and end but I am so incredibly excited for Lindsey and Michael's future and I am just really happy to know them and share this special day.  Enjoy the preview! Scott and Chelsea's Sweet Sugarland Wedding // Arena WI

Like a lot of my couples I didn't meet Chelsea and Scott in other than emails prior to the wedding day. This may be nerve racking for some, but I never get too nervous because I am lucky enough to have a great track record for awesome couples and I always feel like I can make a connection, I have already shared a ton about myself on the internet so I am sure they have  good idea of who I am, and through wedding planning I think you can gather a good idea of who they are too.  The minute I arrived I at (The gorgeous) Sugarland  I felt like part of the group,  I know I say that a lot (truth) but I did. Chelsea and Scotts friends and family are AWESOME.  Seriously hilarious, down to earth genuine people who I would be friends with in real life.  Chelsea and Scott had a GORGEOUS summer day for their wedding complete with amazing dusk light outside of a barn on a gravel road. The bright colors just showed the couples true colors, bright, colorful people.  I'm absolutely Swooning over this day still as I put the blog preview together.  So happy to be a part of this day and so so Happy for the Mr. & Mrs!

Michael and Erica's Summer in St. Louis Wedding // Silver Oaks Chateau Wedding

I was beyond excited when Michael and Erica invited me to Missouri for their summer wedding. St. Louis was amazing to explore over an extended weekend and now I have a need to go back. Erica and Michael chose Silver Oaks Chateau for their wedding venue, which was an amazing backdrop for this summer wedding. Inside it has a french chateau feel with touches of winery and large staircases. Outside there is endless woods and trails. We were lucky the rain stopped around noon and the sun came out for their outdoor wedding. It ended up being a gorgeous day.  If your looking for a new wedding destination I highly recommend this one,  it's gorgeous for any wedding and St. Louis is a fun getaway.  Editing down a blog post was difficult, so I kept it pretty simple but I will continue to share more sneak peaks.  This wedding took a team of amazing vendors which I have listed below. Enjoy the preview!
